Community Aging Specialists

Community Aging Specialist can assist you in accessing available resources such as Medicaid, commodities, utilities, home weatherization and more!

CLAIM (MO State Health Insurance Assistance Program)

Trained and certified staff and volunteers answer questions and provide assistance with Medicare, prescription drug plans, enrollment, appeals, fraud, and abuse.

Aging Support Services

For older adults with multiple health conditions we assist in dealing with the complications of aging.

Meals on Wheels

Nutritious meals delivered Monday – Friday for home bound clients.


Volunteers provide rides to medical appointments, grocery store, pharmacy, bank & other vital business.

Aging with Excellence

This program offers seniors 60+ opportunities to socialize, exercise, gain insight and be knowledgeable about aging issues throughout each month. It provides the perfect opportunities to be entertained, involved and living their best life. This includes exercise programs like Matter of Balance, PEPPI, and LIFT.

Aging Mastery Program

The Aging Mastery Program® (AMP) is an evidence based program and consist of a series of classes that offers a comprehensive and fun approach to living that celebrates the gift of longevity. The 10-session program combines goal-setting, daily practices, and peer support to help participants make meaningful changes in their lives. Central to the AMP philosophy is the belief that modest lifestyle changes can produce big results and that people can be empowered to cultivate health and longevity. 

Breaktime Club

The primary purpose of this program is to provide a safe and enriching day out for older adults who cannot be left alone while their caregiver is provided a much needed break from the care-giving responsibilities.

Qualification and registration is required for this program. The BTC program is offered at two different locations each week. Call the office or check our online program calendar for updated dates.

Cost of this program is $10.00 to offset cost of the program. To see if your loved one qualifies for BTC please call the NSC office and ask for Rayetta or Terry at 816-452-4536.

Learning & Laughter

This program meets twice a month for able-bodied older adults who want a fun day of fellowship with peers. Limited transportation provided. 

Caregiver Support

Together we Care offers a monthly newsletter and quarterly support meetings for those who care for family or friends. You are not alone!

Just 4 Fun Tours

These day trips and week-long affordable tours provide educational travel opportunities as well as social experiences.
