Acts of Kindness-Volunteers II
Acts of Kindness ~ Big and Small ~ Every Day ~ All Year Long
To recognize the Northland Shepherd’s Center’s (NSC) wonderful volunteers during National Volunteer Week in April, Patty Monaco, NSC Volunteer Coordinator, put great effort into reaching each volunteer with a token of sincere appreciation.

For the 80+ volunteers who are Meals on Wheels drivers every week, Patty met them when they were picking up the meals for their routes and gave them each a McDonald’s sausage biscuit!

For most the other active volunteers, Patty, along with help from other NSC staff, delivered a colorful “You’ve been Egged” bag to the home of each one! Inside the bag were eggs holding special treats.
VOLUNTEER MEETUP & MORE

To start off activities for a new and even-better year of activities for volunteers, Patty launched a monthly get together so that volunteers can meet each other, learn about current NSC activities, meet NSC staff, and just have an hour or two of fun and fellowship.
The Saturday morning, April 23, event started with everyone enjoying a light breakfast buffet and then learning about each other, and talking to Patty, Kelley Creek, NSC Community Aging Specialist, and Christina Allen, NSC Technology Coordinator. Patty will soon announce the May date for the Meetup!
