| Mr. Simmons is a native of Kansas City, MO and a graduate of the public school system. He continued his education at Morehouse College and Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. Robert’s “first†career was as a city planner, in Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Detroit. Mr. Simmons discovered a talent for speaking and spent several years as a corporate trainer. After traveling throughout the country as a trainer, Robert returned home and spent his last five years before retirement as a career transition specialist with Job Corps, mentoring young people ages 16-24. Upon retirement in 1918, Mr. Simmons committed to volunteer opportunities, specifically with AARP Speakers Bureau. Robert enjoys volunteering, spending time with his daughter, time with a few friends, and eating out at the wonderful restaurants in Kansas City. |
