Call Check
Living alone means no built-in safety net for life’s sudden mishaps. We offer a daily safety check service that gives you peace of mind. You can check-in with us every day. If we don't hear from you or don’t answer when we call, we will notify your emergency contacts or request a wellness visit from the authorities.
Care Call & Friendly Visitor
Aging can bring many challenges, such as health issues, loneliness, or grief. Losing the ability to drive or go out can make these feelings worse. A friendly call from a volunteer can provide support and empathy for the difficulties of growing older. Talking to someone who understands can help reduce stress and isolation.
Market Bus
Need groceries? Hop on our bus every other Friday and we'll take you to HyVee or Walmart. You don't have to worry about carrying your bags, our driver and volunteer are happy to help. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. This service is for seniors who live in the fixed route area.
Minor Home Repair
If you are a senior with low income and need small safety-related repairs in your home, you can benefit from our service. We have qualified volunteers who can perform handyman tasks for you. You only have to pay for the materials, not for the labor.

Personal Shoppers
If you face difficulties in leaving your home due to chronic health or mobility issues, we have a solution for you. Our volunteer personal shoppers can shop for you at the store. All you need to do is provide us with your grocery list and we will deliver it to your doorstep.

Information & Resource Center
Many resources are available to help seniors stay in their home, live a healthy lifestyle and remain active in their community. If we are not able to assist you directly, we will do our best to refer you to someone who can.
Transportation
A volunteer transportation service is available to seniors who no longer drive. Volunteers provide rides to medical appointments, grocery store, pharmacy, bank and other vital business. You must be able to get in and out of a car by yourself, and our service is limited to the Northland area.
