The group meets on the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of the month from 10am until noon and has grown and grown. Although newcomers are always welcome and encouraged to come whenever they can, there are 27 regular attendees, ages 60 to 90, who seldom miss attending.

Many attendees travel to and from L&L on NSC’s bus. NSC staff member Darrell Vinson drives the bus and takes particular care of each of his passengers.

The staff leader of L&L Tammy (left) always greets the bus. Tammy, who is NSC Interim Executive Director Terry Tipton’s sister, has led L&L since day one and has loved every moment she has had with the group!

Client Karen (right) has been a regular attendee since shortly after L&L started and says, "It is like family. These people are my close friends. I have hardly missed a meeting in all these years.”

At each L&L meeting, there is a singing group, cloggers, or a speaker and an interactive activity like crafts, bingo, or chair exercises. Attendees then enjoy a good lunch together.

In 2019, Pam (below) started volunteering in the L&L program and brought regular crafting activities to the group. Pam is shown helping attendees with a recent craft activity.
